Lately I've been scratching my head on something, asking myself and others what is really going behind the scene. Everybody has turned on Nintendo wanting them to fail in the console wars all of a sudden.
This isn't just any hate as everybody and their dead families want to see the big N fail.People like Gameinformer. Gamespot, Ign, and other (who are you again?) companies and sites have just labeled the WiiU dead despite it only being in it's first year with none of it's big name titles out.
The WiiU launched on Nov 18, 2012 with a couple of good titles including ZombiU (Ubisoft's new title) Ac3, and New Super Mario Bros U (One the best
2d Mario games since World). Other releases included bad ports of previous releases like Batman AC and Mass Effect 3. ZombiU (the best survival horror game I've played in a long time since playing Resident Evil remake and 0 on the gamecube) got poor to decent scores by many and SMBU got great scores but seen as another new super mario bros release( ever heard of Call of Duty).
The downfall began as the WiiU was slow to get any new titles out and it didn't help as Ubisoft badly delayed the greatly anticipated Rayman Legends because they were afraid that it wouldn't sell that much to release it on the Ps3 and 360 in Sept. After so everybody just started to label it dead.
The WiiU isn't doing so good and I for one can admit this, but do I see it as failure? No. How can something be a failure if it hasn't really had a chance to tap into its full potential yet? The Ps3 and 360 both sold worse then the WiiU at launch and at this point of launch but were never label dead at all. The Vita is getting dropkicked, curb stomped, and pooped on by 3ds in terms of software titles, sells, and support. I have yet to hear anything about this from anybody.
The WiiU is gonna be alright and with the great titles that are coming out like Super Mario 3d World, DKTF, Wonderful 101, and Legend of Zelda WW HD coming this holiday season. Bayonetta 2, Smash brothers and Mario Kart 8 coming early next year. The Rpg games X and Fire emblem/SMT are also on the way. The 3ds was in the same boat now look at it. The Wii murder the Ps3 and 360 last gen despite it being underpowered. I have faith in Nintendo to make another comeback.
If the Ps4 and Xbox1 sells don't even come close to the WiiU's number in the same span I will be making a video of just me laughing at them and questioning every hater on where's the same treatment. These are the same people that want Nintendo to be a 3rd party supporter so they can play Zelda, Metriod, and Mario on Sony and MS consoles.
